October 10, 2020

And what does this mean for the future of San Francisco’s nightlife and culture? We sat down with folks from our local community to answer these questions and more.

Last month we launched our very first episode of FAULT TV a special 9-hour broadcast of music television. When we first started working on the program, we knew from the beginning that we will present a panel discussion. It was critical for us to address some of the important issues concerning our beloved music community emphasizing 2020's ongoing pandemic crisis.

Hosted by local DJ femmelectric, we interviewed the music producer Ardalan (Dirtybird Records), Venue owner and local DJ Manny Alferez (Monarch/The Great Northern, Green Gorilla Lounge) and local activist and event producer Emma Marcus (Another Planet Entertainment / Red Alert) to find out how they have been doing since the shutdowns in early March, how their professions have shifted, and how their respective businesses are coping without the ability to host live events.

During this candid conversation, the group also discussed the pros and cons of live-streaming, and how they are getting involved in the struggling music industry's advocacy efforts and the upcoming election.
