GRL GRP

We're thrilled to share that Fault Arts' recent event featured the incredible @thegrlgrp, who took over the Fault Radio shop on Sunday, May 5th!

GRL GRP, a feminist-inspired, non-hierarchical collective design practice founded by Ashlyn Jackson, Abigayle Cosinuke, Chloe Looker, Meg Quarton, and Sarah Chieko Bonnickson, brought their unique vision to our space. With only 0.1% of creative agencies founded by womxn, their mission is to create opportunities for womxn to lead and make their mark in the design world.

At the core of GRL GRP’s ethos is care—care for their work, each other, their collaborators, and the outputs they produce. Their approach fosters a supportive environment for experimentation and boundary-pushing. Their work challenges capitalist and patriarchal notions of productivity and efficiency, embracing feminist methodologies like craft-based techniques and the use of recycled or existing materials.

The collective’s strength lies in their collaboration, with each project benefiting from the diverse skills and perspectives of all members. Despite working across three cities and two countries, their work often comes together seamlessly in a virtual space.

It was fantastic to witness this dynamic practice live at Fault Radio. Attendees enjoyed adding their favorite femme music memorabilia to the installation, making for an unforgettable experience.

Thank you for joining us!
